M & M Cookie Mix

Make one jar or a dozen for gift-giving!

2 c all-purpose flour mixed with
1/2 tsp baking soda,
and 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 1/4 C M&MT chocolate candies
1 1/4 C sugar

Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart wide-mouth canning jar.

Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next ingredient.

Decorate jar for gift giving and attach gift card with instructions. For each jar, cut a 7-inch circle of fabric.  Top each jar with fabric circle, and tie with ribbon.

For 12 jars, you'll need this amount of ingredients.

24 C all-purpose flour mixed
with 6 tsp baking soda
and 6 tsp baking powder

15 C M&MT chocolate candies
15 C sugar 

For even mixing, but for even rising you might choose to line up your 12 jars and add the flour, baking soda and baking powder to each jar and give it a stir in the jar with a narrow whisk.

M & M Cookie Mix

• Empty cookie mix into large mixing bowl and thoroughly blend mix.
• Add 2 sticks margarine or butter or margarine, softened, 1 egg, slightly beaten, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Mix until completely blended.
• Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2" apart on a parchment lined or lightly greased cookie sheet.
• Bake at 375 degrees F for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to rack to finish cooling.
• Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
